LESSON 8: REVIEW - CHAPTER 8 CUMULATIVE REVIEW

We have now completed chapter 8 and are almost ready to take the cumulative assessment. In preparation for our upcoming test, you will complete the Jeopardy review game and participate in a live virtual classroom where you will have the opportunity to ask questions to your classmates and me. It is important that you complete the Jeopardy game BEFORE the live classroom and if you have any questions you would like answered, be prepared ahead of time. All of your classmates will be in the live classroom so you can learn from their questions as well.
Introduction
Do
-
Complete the linked Jeopardy game above. It is self-paced and can be played in any order. Write down any notes or questions you have in your Cornell Notes Template for the upcoming live classroom session.
-
Make sure to have any questions you have written down for clarification so that you can ask them during the live classroom session. You might want to leave some space or have a few spare notes sheets so that you can write down questions your classmates have that are beneficial to you.
Live Virtual Classroom Activity
Attendance Required: April 11th from 8:00-9:00 PM CST
After completing the Jeopardy review game, you are going to participate in a live virtual classroom with your classmates as a tool for asking questions you didn't understand from the review along with giving your advice and expertise to your classmates that might need help. You need to have at least one question you need to have clarified and be ready and willing to contribute to the discussion and online whiteboard. Follow the directions below to get into the virtual classroom. There are also links below for resources on how to use the BrainCert virtual whiteboard if you need additional help. I recommend that you practice working with the whiteboard tools prior to the meeting. See you Monday, April 11th at 8:00 PM!

Summary
Chapter 8 introduced us to exponential functions (x in the exponent). Through the use of asymptotes, y-intercepts and exponential bases, we can create graphs of the exponential functions. Logarithms allow us to count and solve in different powers. In terms of real-life application, the compound and continuous interest formulas help us predict future values for situations involving money and populations that grow and/or decay.
