My name is Jason Crist and I am a math teacher at Clearwater High School. I teach Algebra II and Statistics & Trigonometry as well as coach basketball, track and sponsor Student Council. I earned my a B.S in Education and a B.S in Mathematics at Fort Hays State University while playing golf for the Tigers. I am currently taking classes to earn a Master's degree in Instructional Design & Technology from Emporia State University. My wife Erin stays home with our two-year old twin boys, Harrison and Graham and we are expecting a baby girl in April. When I can, I enjoy playing golf and cooking.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Algebra II builds upon the skills attained in the previous mathematics courses taken at Clearwater High School to enable students to become more competent in everyday mathematics. We will be using a variety of methods to discover the world of Algebra II. Through hands-on projects, presentations, and real-life applications, we will cover new and advanced mathematical concepts. Topics include: Solving Equations and Inequalities, Linear Relations and Functions, Systems of Equations and Inequalities, Polynomials, Quadratic Functions and Inequalities, Polynomial Functions, Conic Sections, Rational Expressions and Equations, Exponential and Logarithmic Relations, and Probability.
